Update iway 250c

Why pink? Why not green or yellow or something? I think all of the iWays have that. It also will not show low clearance bridges or restricted routes for trucks. Does not display road speed limits. Overall, the iWay is a great system for the price you pay. Keep in mind that the c model seems to be being phased out and I'm not sure that they even make them anymore.

This can be important for manufacture supports. They do list a firmware update and all the instruction manuals on the Lowrance website but I don't think you can even purchase updated maps anymore. I've had mine for over 3 years now and I just love it! I'd still buy another one today if mine went out on me.

We have had the product for 5 weeks now works great, our favorite part is the simple button that switches from 3D-view to north up, dislike the fact that if I remove the memory chip the map is gone. We bought this because we had one before. I didn't want to leave it in the car so I put it in my purse, this is not a good idea, the screen display was destroyed in a short time of being at the store,very delicate electronics.

Packs a ton of features into a little space and does a pretty good job at it. System works great, though the maps are a little outdated mine came with year versions , but they can be updated later if you are willing to pay the price. Overall, the system has a very intuitive menu system with the most used features easily accessible.

I would buy it again. Purchased one week ago and these are my initial observations. Fast accurate GPS in car and home. Maps appear to be up to date. Very clear video and audio with street names. Excellent battery life hours. Quality product at a very reasonable price. Just purchased another unit as a gift! Lowrance is highly respected in GPS technology.

This GPS can go down the road and take you to your selected deestination, or you can just take it through the 2 tracks that you used to booze cruise as a kid, or take it out on the lake with you.

Lowrance's fix for all the iway problems is to delete all the trails.

Unit is slow-delete all the trails I picked my boss up at the KC Airport. My iway told me to exit on every exit between the Airport and the hotel. Once I would exit, it would tell mt to get back on the interstate. My boss made me pull over so he could get his garmin out of his bag. Lowrance's fix, delete all the trails. My biggest complaint has been the outdated maps. Had the parts guy look it up and lo-and-behold it's available. Ordered one and it came in yesterday.

I still have to install the update that will take 4-EVER but it's nice to know that a bit more life has been added to this unit. FYI: I've been contacted by several people they have joined this forum just to PM me hoping that I could supply them with a copy of this disk. Unfortunately the answer is NO. If I find any additional source s for the update, I'll post the info here.
