Windows 8 sendto folder
Here you will see all the shortcuts available in the send to menu. Now, to add a folder to the send to menu. Find the folder you want to add, select the target folder, hold down the Alt key and drag and drop it into the send to folder. To add a program to send to list, hold down the Alt key and drag and drop the EXE file of the program. By adding a program to the send to menu, you can quickly send the file or folder to that program.
This eliminates the need to open the program and then added the files manually. Next, drag the SendTo item from the breadcrumb trail in the location bar down into the folder itself.
This action creates a "SendTo - Shortcut" item in the folder. With this shortcut added, you will no longer need to open the SendTo folder to add an item to it. Instead, when you encounter an item you'd like to add as a destination to the "Send to" menu, simply right-click on the item and from the "Send to" menu, choose this shortcut you created.
The item will get added to the SendTo folder and, thus, the right-click "Send to" menu. To make things easier and a bit quicker than doing it yourself, there are several tools around that can enhance the Context menu and the Send To menu. Sendtosendto is a very small tool that adds folders or programs to the Send To menu with a couple of clicks. To delete it again, go through the procedure to add the same shortcut and in the name box click the small X to the right. Download Sendtosendto.
This program though, has a lot more to configure and includes several extra Send To shortcuts already setup for you to use. These include; sending the file name or contents to the Clipboard, sending the file or folder and path name to the Windows Run dialog or Command Prompt, copy or move files and folders to another folder and send to the Quick Launch folder. The option is also there to remove any items currently in SendTo or add your own custom folders or files.
During install the built in shortcuts can be selectively enabled or disabled, and once installed the Options window can be accessed via the Start menu where you can edit the Send to items, the copy to operations, the default clipboard behaviour and also the default mail recipient details.
