Windows update error 80071a30

Since I try to update my Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 64 with the following new files, my system is not accepting any update at all. My PC is protected by the latest Symantec Norton version 2.

I've tried to clean SoftwareDistribution folder and so on without success. I'm protected by Kaspersky Enterprise 6, but even disabled, Widows Updates does not work I'm a little bit disappointed. Hi Lisa, sorry you are having the same problems and even more sorry to have to tell you that I finally had to reinstall windows after which everything was fine.

I even called and spoke to Tech Support, and they couldn't help. I ended up reinstalling also. If this happens you might as well bite the bullet. Several posts had claimed that the. Net Framework was the culprit and after trying 2 clean reinstalls of that, and still getting the same error codes, I was at the end of my rope. Between you guys and my IT guy fiance, all who agree on the reinstall, I'll be doing that this weekend.

So the official answer to the Windows Error Code a30 is simply to reinstall Vista. Very disappointing. I have exactly the same problem with Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit, I always get error code 0xa30 when trying to install Vista updates. This cannot be seriously true that there is NO official solution from Microsoft.

Reinstalling is not an option at all. Please help, or Microsoft, give me a free copy of Win7 as an upgrade, which would be only fair for such a buggy OS :. Office Office Exchange Server. You are commenting using your Google account.
